I Love Hula

If You Love Hula, The “I Love Hula in Kailua” Hawaiian Dance Series Is For You!

With the grace of their hands they can tell you that a star only glitters at the setting of the sun. And with the grace of their hearts, members of Koolaupoko’s storied hula halau (hula troupes) and their kumu hula (dance teachers) have charmed and entertained Kailua residents and visitors with the “I Love Hula in Kailua” series for the past several years.  The free hula series takes place one Sunday every month from 3 to 4 p.m. in the parking garage behind Longs/CVS in Kailua Town.

As has become a tradition, audience members are urged to bring their own mats or beach chairs, pick up ‘ono pupu from Kailua’s great restaurants and eateries, and learn the lovely stories that authentic Hawaiian hula tells with hands and hearts.
