To achieve its mission of Building Resources for Hawaii's Future, the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation occasionally chooses to invest outside of its core areas of focus. Because our funds for non-core grants are increasingly limited, we do not accept unsolicited proposals or inquiries that are not squarely focused on public education redesign, nearshore marine resource conservation, or strengthening the communities of Windward Oahu. Instead, the foundation proactively seeks proposals in other areas of focus when it sees a special opportunity to make a difference with limited resources.
